What it is

The 82 series is Citizen’s entry-level automatic, made by Miyota, the subsidiary that also sells movements to other brands. It beats at 21,600 per hour with about 40 to 42 hours of reserve.

The versions differ in one important detail: the 8200 neither hacks nor hand-winds; the 8203 hand-winds but does not hack; the 8204 and 8210 do both. That is why two Citizens that look alike are not the same inside.

For anyone who wants a tough automatic Citizen and checks which version of the movement it has.

Maker: Citizen (Miyota). The figures on this page come from each watch’s spec sheet.
